Had my first flat in a while today. That makes 6 or 7 I think, which is not bad. My tires are getting verrry worn down, though. Not much tread left.
Also crossed into Idaho for real today. Hooray, state 9!

you’re almost home!!
You are a certified superSTAR. I can’t believe how far you’ve gotten in SUCH a short amount of time. When you’re 80, you’ll be telling your grandkids “I remember the summer of aught-nine when I biked across the country . . . in the days before the Biker’s Highways were built in this country, when you’d bike alongside trucks and cars, and there weren’t water stations every 5 miles like we have now, and you carried your own camping and cooking gear . . .”
And your grandkids will say “Is that when you lost your leg, Grampah?”
And you’ll say “No, that was the winter of two-thousand and ten, in a basketball game, when a punk named Peter went hockey bit off my leg after I stuffed his shot . . . but I still finished out the game that night . . .”
okay, becky, remind me to stay away from mpls community coed basketball in the winter of 2010 …
